Summary

From January 2019 and until central Government updates Part L, Greater London Authority (GLA) has decided that all planning applications are encouraged to use the carbon emission factors proposed in SAP 10 when estimating CO2 emission performance against London Plan policies.

The Energy Assessment Guidance published in Oct 2018 states that “The energy assessment must clearly outline the applicant’s commitments in terms of CO2 savings and measures proposed to reduce energy demand.” Showersave systems will assist to reduce this primary energy demand

Showersave systems, both domestic and commercial, will add significant value to projects submitted to GLA.  Notably at the “Be Lean” stage within this hierarchy as evidenced in the GLA Energy Assessment Guidance (Oct 2018).
