Black silicone band replacing O-Rings
As part of our ongoing product improvements, Showersave has started replacing the two O-rings (Fig 1) located at the base of the cyclone connection with a single black silicone band (Fig 2). When connecting the cyclone to the top of the pipe, the black silicone band should be inserted carefully using a slow twisting motion. If necessary, a small amount of silicone grease may be applied to assist installation and ensure a secure fit.
This change will be introduced gradually as existing stock of the current O-ring components is depleted. During this transition period, you may receive products fitted with either the existing O-ring configuration (inserted using water only) or the new black silicone band (inserted with plumbers silicone lubricant). Please be aware that both versions have been fully tested and approved for use.
It’s worth noting the O-rings can be removed and a black silicone band requested from production@showersave.com if you experience problems with the pressure release test.
If you have any questions regarding this process, please don’t hesitate to contact us by email: technical@showersave.com or call: 028 9334 4488.
